My journey into photography began with a terrible disater: In a burglary in a vacation home in Cyprus my Nikon camera was stolen. It was a model from my school days, obsolete for a long time. My skills were just sufficient at that time for me to use the automatic mode. You might assume, therefore, that the damage was not too substantial.

Unfortunately, however, a long-planned trip to South Africa was approaching, and I certainly didn't want to embark on it without a camera. So I had no choice but to finally make the long-delayed decision to get a new model. I can't say what the black block did to me - anyway, the moment it arrived at my home I started to spend my nights watching YouTube videos about “how to use a camera” :-).

Jokes aside… I have had the invaluable privilege of attending numerous workshops with incredible photographers and adventurers, dedicating entire vacations to photography, meeting amazing people, and living in one of the most beautiful and photogenic locations in Europe. My Nikons, my drone, and I have already experienced incredible adventures, and our bucket list is growing rapidly. So … would you like to join us?
